After BTC moves across several orders of magnitude, the same 100% gain represents very different dollar distances. Linear scale emphasizes absolute price change; logarithmic scale emphasizes proportional change.

Build the chart or workflow

Toggle Log on the right price axis, inspect the full history on weekly or monthly bars, and redraw long-term trendlines. A line created on linear scale should not be carried over as if the geometry were unchanged.

How to interpret the result

Log scale is useful for long histories, compounding, and moves across orders of magnitude. Linear scale remains practical for short-term execution, fixed-dollar risk, and narrow ranges. Match the axis to the question.
